Grandmother's Pumpkin Pie

Makes 2 pies

Make a rich pie pastry, wrap and refrigerate. Roll thin and line 2 deep pie pans. Preheat oven to 450° F.

Beat sugar, eggs and cornstarch until smooth. Add seasonings.

Beat in rich sweet milk and sieved pumpkin. Beat butter in last.

Pour the mixture into the pie crusts and bake a golden brown. (Bake at 450° F 15 minutes, then 325° for 30 minutes.) Sprinkle with sugar and serve cold.
